Getting Your Design Just Right

Fine-tuning your Flint pages is fast once you know the best ways to communicate what you're going for. Here's how to get the most out of every edit.

Layout

The quickest way to nail your layout is to give Flint a reference point. Find a page on your site that already looks the way you want, and use it as your north star when prompting.

Want even faster results?

  • Screenshot the section you'd like to refine
  • Paste it into Flint chat and describe the look you're going for
  • Flint will match the layout to your vision

Tip: For hero sections especially, referencing your original page helps Flint match your spacing and structure exactly.

Color

Flint gives you precise control over where color changes apply — just be specific in your prompt.

For example: "Remove the teal color from background elements only — keep text, icons, and other elements as they are."

That's all it takes to make targeted, clean updates across your page.

Animations and Design Elements

If a visual element isn't quite displaying as expected, a quick settings check usually does the trick.

A few things worth confirming:

  • Opacity — Ask Flint to check that the element is fully visible
  • Visibility — Confirm the element isn't set to hidden
  • Animation state — Make sure the animation is enabled and triggering correctly
  • Files — If an image or video isn't showing up, re-upload it via the asset library and ask Flint to re-apply it

Custom Animations

Already have an animation you love? Keep it exactly as-is by pasting the original code directly into Flint chat.

  1. 1.Copy the embed or animation code from your existing site
  2. 2.Paste it into Flint chat
  3. 3.Ask Flint to use that code directly

Bonus: Flint can style the container around your animation just like any other element — tweak sizing, spacing, and positioning to fit your layout perfectly.
