How to Create Researched SEO Comparison Pages with Flint + Claude

A step-by-step guide to researching competitor keywords, building comparison data, and publishing SEO-optimized "vs" pages directly to your Flint site - all from a single Claude conversation.

What You'll Build

By the end of this workflow, you'll have:

  • A researched list of competitor "vs" keywords with estimated search volume, CPC, and competition
  • Fully built comparison pages published on your Flint site, each with hero section, side-by-side table, recommendation sections, and CTA
  • A repeatable process you can run for any product or market

Prerequisites

  • A Flint account with your site connected
  • The Flint connector enabled in your Claude Cowork session
  • Basic knowledge of your product and its competitive landscape

Step 1: Research Your Competitors

Ask Claude to identify the top competitors in your product category. Claude will search the web and compile a list with key differentiators.

Sample prompt:

text
Research the top competitors for [Your Product].
Focus on direct competitors in the [your category]
space. For each, note their key differentiators,
strengths, and weaknesses compared to us.

Tip: Be specific about your category. Instead of "document tools," say "AI document parsing APIs for LLM pipelines." The more specific, the better the competitor list.

Step 2: Generate "VS" Keywords with Metrics

Ask Claude to turn the competitor list into a keyword table with estimated search volume, CPC, and competition scores.

Sample prompt:

text
Based on the competitor list, come up with each
"vs" keyword (e.g. "[Your Product] vs [Competitor]")
with estimated search volume, CPC, and competition
score. Present the top 5 in a table view.

Note: Claude provides directional estimates based on niche size, brand strength, and B2B keyword patterns. For exact data, validate with Semrush, Ahrefs, or Google Keyword Planner.

What you'll get:

KeywordSearch VolEst. CPCCompetition
[Product] vs [Competitor A]320 - 480$4.50 - $7.00Medium
[Product] vs [Competitor B]200 - 350$5.00 - $8.50High
............

Step 3: Create Comparison Pages in Flint

Ask Claude to build the comparison pages directly on your Flint site. Claude will use the Flint connector to create each page with your site's existing design system.

Tip: Claude will automatically detect your Flint site and create pages under a /compare/ path (e.g., /compare/your-product-vs-competitor). Pages are created as drafts - you can review and edit before publishing.

What happens behind the scenes:

  1. 1.Claude identifies your Flint site from your connected account
  2. 2.A background agent is launched for each comparison page
  3. 3.Each agent builds the page using your site's design system
  4. 4.Pages are saved as drafts with preview and edit links

Step 4: Review, Refine & Publish

Open each page in Flint's editor, make any tweaks, then publish when ready.

Sample prompt:

text
Publish the Reducto site to production.

Important: Always review pages in Flint's visual editor before publishing. Check that comparison data is accurate, CTAs link correctly, and the design matches your brand.

Best Practices

Research Quality

  • Be specific about your product category to get the most relevant competitors
  • Validate Claude's estimated keyword metrics against SEO tools like Semrush or Ahrefs when possible
  • Prioritize keywords by a mix of search volume and competition - low-competition keywords can be quick wins

Page Content

  • Keep comparison tables factual and fair - acknowledge competitor strengths for credibility
  • Include specific data points (benchmarks, pricing, features) rather than vague claims
  • End every page with a clear CTA - link to docs, a demo, or a free trial

Flint Tips

  • Create pages one at a time (not in parallel) to avoid merge conflicts in Flint
  • Use Flint's visual editor for final design tweaks after Claude creates the page structure
  • Pages are created as drafts - always preview before publishing to production
